Escalent - Contact Lists: Changes/Removal Questions

I am on the National Do Not Call Registry list. Why are you calling me about survey participation?

Escalent is a market research company. As such, and since we do not sell anything, we are exempt from the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Telemarketing Sales Rule that governs the National Do Not Call Registry. The law recognizes the value of market research and allows legitimate market research companies to call people that are registered on the National Do Not Call Registry.

From the Federal Trade Commission's web page entitled Q&A: The National Do Not Call Registry, question 30 directly pertains to telephone surveys:

What about telephone surveys?
If the call is really for the sole purpose of conducting a survey, it is not covered. Only telemarketing calls are covered -- that is, calls that solicit sales of goods or services. Callers purporting to take a survey, but also offering to sell goods or services, must comply with the National Do Not Call Registry.

Our surveys are voluntary and we respect your right not to participate. Please visit our Do Not Contact page to be removed from our calling list.
